The Fannin County Sheriff’s Office administration is commanded by Chief Deputy, Major Keith L. Bosen. Major Bosen is responsible for the day to day operations of the Sheriff’s Office. Major Bosen has been employed by the Sheriff’s Office since April 2009. Major Bosen is also a veteran of the United States Armed Services. He was enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. for 12 years where he specialized in Bulk Fuel Supply, was a combat engineer and later was trained as a Jet engine mechanic.
Major Bosen started his career in Law Enforcement by sending his self thru the Police Academy in Cobb County, Georgia. He was later employed by the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office where he spent 2 ½ years in the Uniform Patrol Division. Major Bosen was later promoted to Detective in the Criminal Investigations Division where he spent 7 ½ years specializing in investigating crimes against children cases. He later was promoted to the commander of the Criminal Investigation Division in 2004.
In 2005 Major Bosen was promoted to the commander of the Adult Detention Center. During the first year of service as the Detention Center Administrator Major Bosen was responsible for training the existing employees to run the newly built Detention Center.
In 2006 Major Bosen was appointed to the rank of major where he commanded the Headquarters Bureau consisting of the Adult Detention Center, Training Division, Administration Division, Civilian Employees and the Georgia Crime Information Center for the Office.
